The Deathtrip Electronics Dead Function Machine is a vintage inspired, transistor based analog ring modulator. It has controls for volume, frequency, and carrier bleed. Because it is a classic ringmod circuit it can be noisy and harsh, that is why I included a carrier bleed control to dampen the noise of the triangular carrier signal. There is also a mode switch to turn on an alternate "Auto Tracking" mode. In this mode it cuts the carrier signal off and self modulates. This means that it is always in tune to the notes you play. This is a lot less harsh and not quite as interesting as using the carrier (at least to me), but when used with a fuzz or overdrive pedal, it is a great alternative to get an octave fuzz type tone, kind of like using a green ringer with a drive pedal, but is still a true ringmod and tracks chords better. This is a an excellent ringmod for noisier experimental and industrial music. These are hardwired and painted and are in very limited numbers. This is #1 "Blue Particles".
