Up for sale is a good condition DBX 266XL two channel compressor, limiter and gate with our Revive Audio 166 Modification service+Vca upgrade and Germanium limiter mod.
We have a lot of inquiries it seems on the 266xl units. The 266XL is VERY similar to the 166xl, but with just a few more cost cutting measures.
Post modifications they are pretty equal sonically. Both deliver an incredible value with the modifications and excel on any number of applications from Snare, Kick, bass to Mixbuss.

The VCA is the heart of this unit and all audio passes thru it. This service is an additional $70 normally is a really nice add-on that softens the knee when compressing and delivers lower artifacts when compressing heavy which is why we recommend it with every mod we do on vintage DBX compressors.
Our new Germanium Limiter modifications smooth out the distortion considerably when limiting making it excellent for Drums and any other application where you want some cool Germanium limiter Mojo.
This unit has our Burr Brown input and output stage modifications as well as power supply modifications.
