This vintage 1990s Baldwin made in USA 243 model is in very good condition for its age with some wear to the case but all keys work and the piano is fully original without modification. It’s soundboard is in great shape without cracks, and the keys are free of any chips. This is an excellent choice for the professional player and learning student alike. Includes original key for the key-cover lock, as well as original bench, and a vintage brass piano lamp!

Below you’ll find additional information about the legendary Baldwin (USA made) 243 model.

Since Baldwin pianos founding by Dwight Hamilton Baldwin in 1862, the company has produced many phenomenal pianos.

The legendary Baldwin 243 studio piano has excellent tone and projection and is the most popular piano model Baldwin ever produced. It is a favorite piano model among pianists, teachers, college music departments, schools, and churches. Many composers and teachers love this piano for not just its excellent tone but also it’s useful music desk above the keys which allows one to easily write music and make notations.

This Baldwin model 243 features a 45″ height that allows for a larger soundboard and a longer string length equivalent to a 5’8″ grand piano. This instrument has big sound and projection and it is a wonderful choice for any piano player. This Baldwin “Hamilton” instrument is known for its 19-ply pin-block for enhanced tuning stability, the “full-blow” action with larger parts resulting in faster repetition and a sold spruce soundboard for tonal richness and projection. This model is known for a responsive action.

This piano sells new for $10,000+ and you can own this legendary piano at a fraction of the price today. This is a great piano for the price and an excellent addition to any home music studio. As an institutional model, this piano comes with smooth-rolling large rubber casters for easy transport across school, church, or stage. These large caster wheels are ideal for hardwood flooring as well.

This vintage 1994 example appears to have been lightly used, with cosmetic wear on the exterior of the cabinet and matching bench. Fortunately, all original parts are present and complete. All keys work and the piano has always been tuned and maintained. The keys were recently removed, as well as the fall board, and the interior of the cabinet vacuumed and cleaned. Includes lock and key for key cover, as well as vintage brass piano lamp.

The soundboard is in overall good condition and all original parts are present. This piano is fully functional, and the entire piano appears to be all original without modifications.

It has been regularly tuned and maintained but will likely need a proper tuning and action adjustment to your preferences after shipping.

I will list this piano as local pickup preferred but am happy to provide a trusted transport company at buyers expense. It will carefully transported within a reasonable time frame according to buyers availability. If the cost to transport is higher than shown, I will cover the difference.
