this is an excellent playing guitar. the whammy bar and string tail cover are both in the case compartment.
The serial number on the back plate (10317) signifies an older model. I don't know how it got there. I have had the guitar for 38 years,
and purchased it from the daughter of the original owner, in 1985. She was about 60 years old at the time, and she believes he purchased it in 1959.
it has the slab rosewood fingerboard with a maple neck. There is no date stamped on the end of the neck. I am not an expert on
all the intricacies of these guitars, but I have never had anything done to it, nor did the previous owner.(i assume this) he had passed
away when i bought it, and i am only repeating what his daughter told me.
It has the red wine sunburst finish and is good shape.
People have told me the decal on the headstock is not correct.
But it is still a great playing (low action, in tune) guitar.
