The Marcus Signature 70's V7 Vintage Model

What sets the V7 Vintage apart is that it has been innovatively set up to sound like the original 70's bass, preferred by Marcus Miller. Its construction makes it bring out much more plush characteristics, especially from the formvar pickup known to be "vintage correct". Its neck comes with custom Rolled Fretboard Edges that make a huge difference in the overall feel.

Marcus Miller Vintage-J Revolution Pickup Set

These high quality premium Jazz bass pickups are manufactured in the USA with a plain enamel coil, and complete with 70's pickup spacing, gives the V7 Vintage the more vintage jazz bass sound.

Marcus Miller Heritage-3 Preamp

With a 3-band EQ preamp newly developed for this series, and multiple tone controls, players have the total command to achieve the ideal tone they desire. The use of 18v batteries enables the player to attain unaltered natural sounds with strong and powerful outputs. With the 3-band EQ, players can carry out versatility in tones that will be suited for all music sessions and performances.

This model also comes with swappable midrange control options, that Marcus Miller advocates as a must-have option. The middle frequency control knob allows the players to set the sound frequency to anywhere from 80Hz to 2000Hz, which is convenient when trying to find the desired sound.

Premium Swamp Ash

Premium Swamp Ash tonewood is highly resonant and offers a delicate balance of pleasant highs, firm lows, and a slightly scooped midrange, and excellent for slap playing.

Marcus Vintage Standard Bridge

Marcus Miller SIRE V7 bass is equipped with the newly designed Marcus Vintage-S Bridge with 60's style screw type saddles that enhance the vintage character of the bass.

Rolled Fretboard Edges

Sire takes overall playability to the next level with the rolled fretboard edges. Formerly what only custom shops had achieved, is now available in the Sire 2nd Gen series. These rounded edges will give players a firmer and more natural grasp.

Stable, Accurate Tuning

SIRE’s premium open gear machine heads are developed with an accurate gear ratio for the high reliability in tuning.

Bone Nut

It's one of the most important parts of the guitar that influences the performance, playability, and tone of the instrument. The bone nut is considered to deliver more balanced, brighter, and smoother tones than plastic or other materials.

Hard Maple Neck

One-piece Canadian hard maple is used to minimize movement and stabilize the neck in order to maintain its original shape and condition, reducing the loss of vibration it maximizes the tone for lasting sustain.

Maple Fingerboard

Maple fingerboards mean clear highs and sharpness in tone. The bright and clean sound of a maple fingerboard is favored by many players.
