Maple and Padauk striped stave snare
13”x3.5” with 0.5” thick shell.
This shell blank was made by DaVille Drumworks. The bearing edges were cut at 45degrees inside and also 45 degrees on the outer edge to a depth of about 3/16” to make a nice sharp edge perfect for a piccolo. Snare beds were hand cut on the snare side. The outside of the shell was first lightly stained green then finished with several coats of oil based polyurethane to give it some luster but still shows the grain of the wood. The shell inside was sealed with several coats of tung oil. The drum was assembled with all chrome hardware as follows:
13” 8 lug 2.3 mm hoops from DFD
1” chrome plated brass tube lugs from DFD
1.25” chrome tension rods from DFD fitted with sleeved nylon washers
Chrome air vent from DFD
Pearl SR-18 throw off and butt plate ( also purchased from DFD)
13” Evans G1 coated batter head (some stick marks from test playing)
13” Evan’s 300 snare side head
This snare was just assembled so it is basically brand new only about 10 min of test playing.
Drum will be well packed for shipping and will be insured with Reverbs safe shipping.
