About This Listing

Quick notes:

1 — This is consigned.

2 — Any repair work has been done so it plays spot-on unless otherwise noted!

3 — I usually ship in 2-3 days but sometimes can get backed-up if a lot of orders come in at once. I like to make sure I have time to check the setup, restring if the strings are tired, and make any adjustments needed before shipping. If you need faster shipping, please make me aware!

4 — Please read the following text for full details and specs -- it's borrowed from my original blog post on it...

This is a fairly no-frills, Japanese-made classical guitar from the early '70s. It's similar to period Yamaha classicals in that it's made from thin ply throughout the body, has a wide "Spanish-style" nut and neck style, and has a good, full sound that cuts above its station. I like these as "folk-strummer" or "folk-fingerpicker" guitars in the '60s-style, bare-fingers or fingernails sense.

This one has been played-in "just so" to have become a friendly, inviting instrument to have around.

Repairs included: a fret level/dress, cleaning, restring, and setup. It also got a bolt sunk into the neck to reinforce the two-piece neck joint build from the factory -- which had separated and got a reglue.

Weight: 3 lbs 3 oz

Scale length: 25 7/8"

Nut width: 2 1/8"

Neck shape: medium D

Board radius: flat

Body width: 14 7/8"

Body depth: 3 3/4"

Top wood: ply cedar

Back & sides wood: ply mahogany

Bracing type: fan

Bridge: rosewood

Fretboard: rosewood

Neck wood: mahogany

Action height at 12th fret: hair above 3/32” overall (nice and quick)

String gauges: light tension nylon

Truss rod: non-adjustable

Neck relief: straight

Fret style: medium-wider

Condition notes: it's in good order throughout save a small patch of filler on the back of the heel "cap" area and some pickwear to the top in the usual area south of the soundhole. The finish shows mild scratches, scuffs, small dings, and whatnot throughout the body, too, but overall looks nice.

It comes with: sorry, no case.
