Very early 1968, s/n 230667. Solid Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany back, sides and neck in a natural gloss lacquer finish. Rosewood fingerboard with 1-11/16" nut width, Rosewood bridge, and original Grover tuning gears. Black pickguard and bone nut (and saddle?) are replacements, everything else appears to be original.
Delightful voice, warm, crisp and dry. Sweet and sassy. Excellent clarity and note definition. Versatile guitar with good volume and an excellent recent setup.
Excellent vintage condition. Clean guitar overall. Finish has a delightful patina with light finish checking on the top. A few scratches and dings on the top, but very few relative to age. Has a repaired B string crack and a repaired 4"+/- crack on the back, both are barely visible. Back has more wear with scratches and rash. etc. Recent fretwork and a "platemate" was installed to prevent strings from further pulling into bridge.
Includes a 70's blue Martin case which is in excellent condition.
