About This Listing

Four lightly used 12" speakers, same model, in two pairs, from 1952-1959 respectively.

These are awesome instrument speakers and can handle the abuse of steady gigging, overdrive and would be a tone-seekers dream in a 4x12 cabinet for a 50+ watt amplifier. This is the same company that took over production of the classic celestion greenbacks, though often thought of as a low point, But the company was actually a well regarded speaker manufacturer before that and after... If you go out to buy one of those currently, you'll probably be buying a rola speaker. About ninety nine percent of speaker's listed as pre Rola, are actually not.

You can expect about fifteen to twenty watts out of each. The doping on the one speaker was applied by myself, when testing on a small amp. I will gladly apply the latex doping to the others as well. I used the single speaker in a magnetone amp for a few weeks. It performed very admirably. They will no doubt work in a sealed cabinet. But we're initially made for an open back, which will probably yield a more balanced tone. Price includes shipping. These are all working with no issues or rub. There are a few minor repairs made to pin holes, and one contact strip that i broke accidentally, removing them from the 50s era Hammond tone cabinet from which they came. Thanks for looking! Price includes shipping.
