As with any bass guitar, the choice of tonewoods Schecter used has a huge impact on both the sound and feel of the Stiletto Stealth. To keep this not-insubstantial instrument light enough to play for hours yet resonant enough for metal, Schecter selected basswood for the body and maple for the neck. This combination gives the Stiletto Stealth plenty of punch, without limiting the low-end impact you can expect from this bass. Add to that a naturally conditioned rosewood fingerboard, and you've got killer sound and feel. Take it from the Sweetwater crew - the Stiletto Stealth will give you years of great performance.
One of the great things in general about Schecter's more affordable basses is the hardware. Unable to source an affordable 5-string bridge that still delivers the performance and stability serious guitarists demand, Schecter simply decided to create one. This Schecter S-Tek bridge gives you the stability you need plus a massive range of intonation. Also a nice surprise, the sealed and permanently lubricated 17:1 ratio tuning machines on the Schecter Stiletto Stealth let you stay in tune like a pro.
