1990 Les Paul Custom Premium Plus with beautiful Flame top finished in Heritage Cherry Burst.
Ebony fretboard, Mother of pearl block inlays.
Guitar is stamped *Promotional, not for resale* Someone that worked for management at Gibson during that era told me that those where guitars meant for charity, raffle etc... Not common.
Pickups seem to be early 490R/498T they are original as well as the electronics. PU are stamped with the Pat N.
They measure at the guitar output:
13.15 Kohm Bridge
6.63 Kohm Neck
I usually don't like them, but they really sing in that guitar.
Comes with the original case.
It plays really well and sustains for days. The action is very low and does not buzz. The tuning stability is surprisingly amazing, specially for a Les Paul (if you know you know...). Finish is really nice and shiny, minimal wear for the age.
Cons:
- There is a little rubber bushing mark next to the bridge PU ring caused by a no hole mounting pickguard that was installed by the previous owner, (see pictures)
- The binding on the neck chipped at the bottom of 2 frets (You don't feel them while playing, I only noticed them long after getting the guitar).
Look at the little youtube video I made to see all the details I am talking about :)
Open for trades, Zemaitis metal front 22 frets (LP or V), Les Paul custom Black beauty from the same year + compensation.
