About This Listing

1980s Calo Robelli Jazz Bass Neck. MIJ by Tokai

Hello. Up for sale is a 1980s Carlo Robelli Jazz Bass neck. This neck was made in Japan likely by Tokai.

This neck is high quality. It is built in the style of the 1967-1974 Fender Jazz Bass neck. It has the rosewood fretboard and block style position markers. The neck is the 4 bolt style and has the skinny nut.

The truss rod works great. The neck is straight with no tension and gives a significant back bow with tension . There is a good bit of fret wear on the lower frets but the fingerboard and are in good shape overall. There is one ding on the back of the neck.

This bass has the same tuning keys as other Tokai made basses. It has the same letters as other Tokai made guitars on the neck heel. Obviously this neck has a headstock that doesn't copy the Fender. That would make the neck date perhaps 1985 or so. It could be a few years earlier.

The neck fits a Fender body . The screw holes are slightly off and would have to be re-drilled to fit a Fender body.
