Since these models feature a wooden base, they provide all of the benefits of the free floating design with the rich sound of a maple shell. Shell is made up of 10-ply 100% Rock Maple and finished in black while the primary shell features a 100% 6-ply Rock Maple shell finished in a natural gloss”.
