1960’s Stewart Burns Copy Offset Hollowbody Electric Guitar Sunburst Matsumoku Japan Univox Aria Lyle Conrad Teisco.
Good condition for being 50 years old. Recently cleaned and set up with new strings. Low action, straight neck. All electronics are working as intended. Tremolo arm is a new remake from EZPZ. They made these just like the originals and they are easily as good if not better. Bridge is not original but works well with the guitar.
Guitar is a full hollow body with a wood block between top and bottom for bridge support (see last picture). Guitar weighs approximately 7 lbs.
Made at Matsumoku factory in Japan in the late 1960’s and badged as a STEWART. Other common names found on these guitars are: Univox, Aria, Lyle, Conrad and others. I do not have the pickguard for this guitar.
Guitar was just cleaned, fingerboard has been oiled, frets were polished and a new set of D’addario 10 gauge strings was just installed.
Comes with a gig bag.
This is a pre owned, vintage guitar that is at least 50 years old. There are dings, dents, scratches, marks & signs of wear commensurate of age and use. The black pickup covers have some marks and the neck cover is chipped as can be pretty common with these plastic covers. The pickups sound good but when plugged in, I just have to turn the amp up a little more than usual. Im sure this is common with these older pickups. I am not the original owner and do not know the past history of this guitar. Please see all pics for more details on the condition. This guitar overall plays smoothly and it’s a good deal for the price!
