I am selling my vintage 1978 Fender Jazz Bass ash body (BODY ONLY) with factory black finish.
The included photos are of the vintage 1978 Fender Jazz Bass ash body with factory finish I just replaced with the natural ash body. It is free from ANY extra routes, screw holes, etc; completely original. Serial number and proof of weight are included in the photos.
The market prices for ‘70s Fender basses and parts has jumped due to their reaching that illustrious 50 year vintage mark. And also—because many people are discovering that a lot of the bad QC hype that was attributed to CBS era Fenders was mostly just that; hype. You saw more QC issues mainly because the production numbers increased exponentially under CBS. But the same people who fashioned and built many of the golden era 50s and 60s Fenders were still there in the 70s, doing the same great work, albeit probably under more demanding conditions because of the volume needed.
It’s a great deal on an authentic vintage Fender body in this current vintage instrument market. Thanks for looking!
