The Gibson True Vintage model is an accurate reproduction of the 1950's version when they were making very light and responsive guitars.
Gibson's J-45 True Vintage has a red spruce top with 1940's style scalloped braces and hide glue construction. The guitar is very lightly built, and features a thin nitrocellulose sunburst lacquer finish that's hand rubbed to a low-lustre vintage sheen. Gibson "Banner' headstock logo, open-back Kluson tuners, bone nut and tusk saddle and bridge pins, and tortoise-style pickguard. The neck has a rounded 1950's shape and a nut width of 1-11/16”. Neck is straight, saddle is at full height and action at the 12th fret Low E is 2mm with no buzzing anywhere on the fretboard. We sell internationally and ship at cost.
