Oberheim OB-12 in great condition, everything is fully functional minus the small line through the center of the screen but that doesn't much get in the way of seeing what's going on with the synth. Great for a repair/flip or someone who wants this wonderful sounding and unique synth for a fantastic price!

Item Description

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Oberheim OB-12 is a virtual analog synthesizer that was introduced in the early 2000s. It was a collaboration between the original Oberheim company and the German company Viscount International. The OB-12 is known for its modern design, digital architecture, and its attempt to capture the classic Oberheim sound in a contemporary instrument.
Key features of the Oberheim OB-12 include:
  • Virtual Analog Synthesis: The OB-12 utilizes virtual analog synthesis technology, which emulates the characteristics of traditional analog synthesizers through digital means.
  • Polyphony: It offers polyphonic capabilities, allowing users to play multiple notes simultaneously.
  • User Interface: The OB-12 features a user-friendly interface with a graphical LCD display and dedicated controls for various parameters. This makes it relatively easy to navigate and program.
  • Voices and Oscillators: The synthesizer has 12 voices, and each voice consists of two oscillators. This allows for the creation of rich and complex sounds.
  • Filter Section: The OB-12 includes a filter section with low-pass, band-pass, and high-pass filter options, contributing to the shaping of the sound.
  • Effects: It is equipped with built-in effects, including reverb and delay, adding spatial and time-based elements to the synthesized sounds.
  • Modulation and Control: The OB-12 provides modulation options such as LFOs (Low-Frequency Oscillators) and envelopes for shaping and modulating the sound over time.
  • Arpeggiator: An arpeggiator is included, allowing users to create arpeggios and rhythmic patterns easily.
While the Oberheim OB-12 did not achieve the same level of popularity as some of the classic Oberheim synthesizers from the past, it still attracted attention for its attempt to blend the vintage Oberheim sound with modern technology. Keep in mind that information about specific products may be subject to updates or changes, so it's advisable to refer to the manufacturer's documentation for the most accurate and current details.
