I believe in full transparency and want to ensure that potential buyers are well-informed about this guitar's history and condition. This 2021 Martin D-28 Authentic 1937 was unfortunately left in an uncontrolled environment, which caused it to dry out more than it could handle. This resulted in a hairline fracture down the center of the top of the body and a smaller one on the back, also down the center. However, these issues have been professionally addressed to restore this magnificent instrument to its former glory.

The guitar was carefully humidified, bringing it back to a healthy state, and the fractures have since "healed." To ensure the integrity of the guitar, a Martin-certified luthier expertly repaired the damage on the top and refinished it. Although a faint crack is still visible upon close inspection, I assure you it is smooth to the touch, and structural integrity has been fortified with cleats underneath the crack, securely glued to prevent any future separation.

Furthermore, the guitar has been re-strung with high-quality D'Addario strings, maintaining its beautiful sound and playability. Despite the cosmetic imperfection, the guitar plays as beautifully as the day it was first crafted, with a sound that's both rich and authentic to the Martin legacy. It's worth noting that this guitar has been played only about a dozen times and, aside from the mentioned issue, is in mint condition.

This instrument was a generous gift from my mother, and though I cherish it, my musical journey leans more towards electric guitar, which is why I'm finding it a new home. It's a splendid piece for collectors and players alike, offering the chance to own a piece of Martin's legendary craftsmanship with a unique story.
