For sale is a Magpie Modular & Neutron Sound Dodeca MIDI-CV module. White aluminum panel with red LED's. Designed around a Teensy this is a handy, open source MIDI to CV module. Requires a type-B TRS MIDI cable or adapter (I'll include a cable). It was originally designed for use with the Elektron Octatrack and it'll ship with that firmware, but it is usable as a MIDI-CV converter for any MIDI device. The "stock" OT FW gives you one synth voice- pitch, gate & velocity, plus 3 dedicated gate outs on a different MIDI channel, 5 CC outs which correspond with CC's 72-76 (MIDI CTRL 2 page on the OT MIDI tracks) and MIDI clock out. It's pretty easy to change the MIDI channels and CC values without having any real Arduino programming experience so it's easy to customize to your own setup.
I've edited my version of the stock FW to put the 'voice" on channel 9, and the Gates & CC's on channel 10, with the CC's being 72-76 so they stay in line with the default OT layout. I've also adjusted the MIDI clock out so it outputs ticks at quarter notes, this all works better for me, but I'm happy to leave this FW on it, or change the channels/CC's to whatever you want before shipping- just shoot me a message with your purchase (Please note that any customization is strictly changing MIDI channels and/or MIDI CC #'s, further tweaks are a little beyond my time frame ATM) In addition there are plenty of other firmwares available that you can experiment with yourself, see the github page below.
If you don't have a preference then just for the sake of consistency I'll flash the unit with the "stock" FW before shipping- this puts the synth "voice" (pitch/vel/gate) on channel 4, the 3 Gates & 5 CC's on channel 2 (the CC #'s remain the same at 72-76) and the MIDI Clock will output 16th notes.
It's calibrated but keep in mind it was designed to be small, relatively inexpensive and easily DIY'd with readily available components- it's based on a Teensy without expensive DAC's so it'll give you about 5 octaves of relatively stable tuning but it's not Kenton precision!
Comes with power bus cable and M3 mounting screws. This design is depreciated and the Teensy 3.2's are no longer in production so this is guaranteed not DOA but otherwise sold as-is.
