Fredenstein F609 500 Series Tube Mic Preamp Module 2010s - Gold

This Fredenstein F609 is a solid tube preamp. I have since moved on to various other tube preamps that suit my creative purposes better. Excellent condition.

PLEASE NOTE:

I UPGRADED THE TUBES IN THIS UNIT to JJ ECC803S and JJECC802S and I have lost track of the original ones. These upgraded tubes, have slightly better efficiency and slightly higher gain, making them smoother at higher gains, but they are very similar to the original so they still have plenty of color. The originals were JJ 12AX7 and JJ 12AU7

"The JJ ECC803s is a hi-performance 12AX7 that has a spiral wound filament to reduce noise and hum. The construction is different from the JJ ECC83 in that the plates are more conventional, but have a special heat dissipating fin that serves to improve efficiency and gain. The plates of the tube are also "over-sized" (longer) as compared to most standard 12AX7 tubes. This over sized plate structure improves details in the bass and low mid-range responses. If you want that great JJ tone in a hi-performance package, then these are for you."
