Trondheim Audio Devices SkarBassOne Bass Pedal

This is the second of two SkarBassOne pedals I purchased during Trondheim’s Kickstarter promotion about 5 years ago. The first is a mainstay on my live and studio pedalboard; the second one for sale has never been used. Pedal in mint/open box condition.

SkarBassOne is designed to be connected directly to an amp, interface, or DI box. The pedal is 100% analog and is all you need for professional bass sound at practice, in studio, or live!

Trondheim SkarBassOne has a lightning-fast FET compressor, which replicates the famous 1176 compressor pedal, with associated compression LED to see gain reduction. The Mid filter is precise and reduces frequencies that are masked by other instruments. Now you can finally play loud without trampling the rest of the band. The footswitch enables/disables the multi-band drive on SkarBassOne. Here you can go from mild distortion to a fierce overdrive which, unlike traditional overdrives, does not touch the fundamental low frequencies in the signal.

HOW IT WORKS:

Chaining up an EQ, compressor and overdrive pedal will never give you the same result as SkarBassOne achieves, not by a long shot! The precise filters in SkarBassOne is what gives you the extremely surgical tone and the wide range of possibilities without breaking a sweat!

No matter the settings you will always keep the clean powerful low end with this multiband overdrive and that is a must for bass. Controlling the mids of a bass sound has never been easier! You will get out of the way from other instruments masking frequencies and take up all the space that is meant for you and ONLY you!

It might look simple on the outside, but I assure you the inside is a matrix of years with development. The flexible multiband drive is smooth all the way thru its range and I promise you it will never ever mess with your low end!

CONTROLS:

Mid:
Mid filter, to achieve your surgical studio tone. Create a defined, in the pocket frequency response for your bass, to sound massive, and make it sit nicely with other instruments. Your bandmates will never beg you to turn down your bass again!

Drive:
Set the amount of multiband drive, from gentle push to full-on bark!

Tone:
Hi-cut filter to control the high frequencies of the output.

Compression:
One knob FET compressor, with fast attack and release. It handles dynamics with ease and creates a solid wall of tone.

Mix:
Quickly set the tonal balance between low frequencies and high frequencies. Find the sweet spot in any situation.

Compression LED:
Visual indication of how hard the compressor is working.

Footswitch:
On/Off switch for Drive and Tone.

Red Light = Drive and Tone active.

Blue Light = Drive and Tone off.

Compression, Mid, and Mix are active on both channels.

POWER SUPPLY (sold separately):
This pedal does not use batteries, it uses a 2.1mm plug, 9 Volt DC, Center-Negative power supply (like most all guitar pedals use). Any power supply higher than 9 Volt DC can damage the pedal.
