Daniel Mendes - Traditional Guitar, constructed in 2023.
I am the only owner, and he built the guitar in 2023 for me. The instrument was finished in July 2023. The entire body is French Polish, and it is not "shiny" which means it requires extra care when the matter is scratches and the regular use (more delicate).
Specifications by Mendes:
Spruce, Indian Rosewood.
Nut - 53mm (12th fret - 63mm)
Scale - 650mm
This is a model based in one that I tried by him in 2022, inspired by an Abreu/Houser, with Mende's own take. I have been using his guitars since 2016, and I replay enjoy it. They are traditional instruments (classical guitar) with a lot of gain, color, and response. The timber is not the richest one, considering the resonance, but the guitar is still brand new (less than a year), so the sound will develop as much as is being played.
Is has a big sound even in the trebles, but the basses are outstanding.
I like a lot the action and the playability of the instrument, but this can be very personal and change according to the player. I am not aware of another guitar within the same price range that serves me better than this. For the price range, for me, he is one of the best ones.
I am selling it because I ended up buying more guitars than I need, and they were all completed and delivered at the same time. I have been playing more often with a cedar lattice instrument.
