2016 Gibson Les Paul Standard High Performance Bourbon Burst

In 2016 this Les Paul was the new flagship performance model and was the most groundbreaking Les Paul ever made. A supper exclusive AAAA flame maple top, premium chrome hardware, beautiful nitro finish and genuine Mother of pearl inlays in a Rosewood fret board. Extreme performance comes from the use of aluminum, steel and titanium hardware, an innovative fast “access” heal and soloist neck width and asymmetrical slim-taper profile and a revolutionary new wiring system that allows over 150 reversible sonic options from the PAF-inspired Burstbucker Pro and lead pickups. It comes with a Gibson High Performance super aluminum case. Neck and bridge tap or split with treble bleed control and transient suppression, 4 push-pull (individual tap/split, phase and coil selection) and 5 position DIP switch. Because of the dip switches in the control cavity and the 4 push pull volume and controll knobs and the way they are wired to the pickups, this is how you get the unheard of 150 different sonic options that are reversible. The Bourbon Burst was a limited production color.

I am the second owner of this guitar, I knew the original owner and purchased it from him soon after he purchased a guitar he could not afford to own at the time. The original owner was not in a band and only played this guitar at his home for a few months before I purchased her. I'm kinda second guessing myself for putting this one up for sale as I'm putting it up for sale. I have owned and still do own several Gibson Les Paul's since the 1970's when I purchased my first one. Anywho, this is a great looking Les Paul she is also one of the best playing Les Paul's I've ever put my hands on. She comes with the original case candy and strap shown to include the original bill of sale from Sweetwater dated in 2016. The swiss army Gibson truss rod adjustment tool is still unopened as pictured. This guitar is in great cosmetic condition. It still has the original plastic protective film on the pick guard. Cosmetically there are a few small dings small dings in the clear coat. They don't photograph and you have to hold the guitar at certain angles under a high output light to see them because they are so small. There are a few on the back/neck of the guitar and one on the top near the lead tone control. There is no belt buckle scrapes on the back of the guitar. The texture you see in the pictures on the body and chrome hardware is a reflection of the textured ceiling above the guitar while it was photoed. The only non original hardware is the tuners. This guitar originally came with Gibson auto robot tuners. The original owner replace them with these very high quality aftermarket tuners that are locking and only have the word Ratio on the back with each tuner numbered for it's placement. I don't know who manufactured the replacement tuners but they are functionally every bit as high quality as the Kluson Revolution tuners I tend to replace Deluxe Kluson tuners with when I modify my Gibson's. Because of the new tuners there is a additional screw hole visible on the back of the head stock that is from the original tuners. Installing a set of Kluson's or original robots would hide this screw hole because the foot print of the replacement tuners is smaller that the original tuners. Again, the replacement tuners are not cheap junk they work great, I just don't recognize the manufacturer. The pickguard apparently just pulls right off and pops back in place to show the beauty of the entire flamed maple top. I've never tried to remove the pick guard, I tend to break things because I pull/jerk to hard on them so I'll let the new owner who has a gentler touch do so if he/she wishes. The original case is not beat up but has scuffs and scrapes from storage. I have never gigged with this guitar or case. The guitar has lived in my home and never played out.
