2018 Gibson SG Standard High Performance

In 2018 the Gibson SG Standard High Performance was the flagship model offered for a production run SG. It featured a AA flamed maple top added to the solid mahogany body and neck. The flamed maple cap on this one is about half the depth of the body for better tone and is not just a laminated maple cap as most manufacturers did in 2018. The body is thicker making it heavier than a normal SG Standard this improves the overall balance of the guitar. This guitar comes with the original sales receipt from Sweetwater in 2018. I am the second owner of this guitar I purchased it from the original owner several years back. The Sweetwater receipt shows before shipping the guitar, the original owner had the Robo tuners replaced with grovers and the Titanium nut replaced with a bone nut before the guitar was shipped to the original purchaser. She has a soloist neck width, it's wider than a normal SG Standard for easier playing. Also has a fast “access” heel for easier access to the 24 frets. The volume knobs are both push/pull and the control cavity has the 5 dip switches that change the signal path and give you a lot more options tonally than any other SG ever produced by Gibson. She is used but not abused, she has her fair share of polishing swirls. She has some very minor dings. The worst of which is on the tip of the bottom body horn, it has a very minor ding that goes through the clear coat. Some small dings on the bottom/side of the guitar. I see a couple very minor dings above the truss rod cover. On the back strap button I can see where the strap has worn the clear coat, this might be able to be buffed out, it is not through the clear coat. There is no belt buckle gouging, there is some very minor scratching in the clear coat but it is very minor. I'm not sure what Gibson called this color on these guitars, it's a very nice blond flamed maple cap. The guitar is not beat up but it does show signs of use. The original case functions as it should. Except the normal carrying handle has come off, it has not done any damage to the case itself, it's just missing. The side handle that is used to roll the case on the floor with it's wheels is still in great shape and the wheels function as they should. I never received a truss rod adjustment tool with this one. I've never had to adjust the truss rod yet. What you see is what you get. This guitar is a very good players grade guitar, it's used but not beaten up much at all, it's beautiful and plays like butter.
