The Model 300 viola is an eloquent and dependable instrument featuring high quality aged tonewood.   Similar in construction to our N2011 offering, this instrument is made with select high quality Spruce top wood and figured Maple back and sides.  All tonewood is air-dried and aged to produce a dependable instrument with beautiful tonal characteristics.

The tonewood is naturally dried outside on a covered, ventilated area for 10 years. The wood is then placed into a drying room, consistent with old world traditional European practices. This process ensures that the wood will not open or expand, and guarantees overall stability. 

• 100% handmade, 100% hand oil varnished, 100% hand-adjusted
• Great playability, producing a consistently even, dynamic, and warm tone
• Made with figured two-piece Maple back and sides, as well as a solid carved evenly grained Spruce top; hand-rubbed with a light amber oil varnish
• Fit with Boxwood heart-shaped pegs, tailpiece, and chinrest
• Set up by our luthiers with a Rock Maple bridge and D'Addario Helicore strings
• Outfit package includes a case, carbon fiber and Brazilwood bows, shoulder rest, and rosin

This 15 Inch D Z Strad Model 300 viola is pre-owned and was played well. There are a few cosmetic issues but none affect the beautiful sound of the instrument. We are discounting this viola because of the cosmetic issues. Please see the pictures for more detail.
