1937 D-18 with all original finish except for a back-only refin by TJ Thompson. Bridge and plate have also been expertly replaced. Tonally it's everything you'd want from the year, but this one has a little extra sustain normally heard in the early 40s models. Yet it retains the powerful low end and upper range snap that a forward shifted 30s D-18 is known for. Very comfortable neck carve--full C profile with nicely rounded shoulders. Full height frets with no buzzing or intonation issues. Needs nothing structurally or in regards to setup. Housed in a Guardian hsc, but can switch it over to a new Calton for additional cost. Overall an excellent player D-18 with a few modest repairs that cut the price in half.
