The American Performer Series brings the Mustang a few nice upgrades. Featuring the hip Mustang design, a grooved saddle bridge and American Performer Series Yosemite pickups, this Mustang is dashing into the new era of Fender. For players who appreciate unique design and fast features.
Hip Mustang Design
The Mustang might be the most unique standard model of Fender out there. Its elongated Strat-like body sports a nice cutaway enabling high fret access. Shaped from alder, the American Performer Series Mustang has a modern "C" maple neck and a 24" scale length. It sports a rosewood fretboard with 9.5" radius and 22 jumbo frets, as well as white dot inlays.
Grooved Saddle Bridge
This Mustang features a really cool bridge as its center piece. The large, vintage-modern American Performer Mustang bridge really shines. It has grooved saddles that hold your strings in place, regardless of how hard you rock. In addition, the Mustang has Fender ClassicGear tuners, a synthetic bone nut, and 4-ply aged white pearloid pickguard.
American Performer Series Yosemite Pickups
The American Performer Series may be defined by its major commonality across models –the Yosemite pickups. With warm Fender tone in a powerful single coil package, the Yosemite's are as versatile as the Fender brand itself. The complimentary Greasebucket Tone Circuit is made so you can adjust your highs, without adding bass to do it. With the three-way selector, you can choose between bridge, bridge and neck combo, or just neck, and run wild with your sound.
