Los Angeles' Techno Empire consistently has some of the best listings on Reverb—with its location in the hotbed of the entertainment industry and connection to professional players. Today, Techno Empire has listed a collection of gear owned and used by Robben Ford, the illustrious blues, jazz, and rock guitarist that has played with everyone from Miles Davis to George Harrison.

Included in the collection are two Fender Super Reverb amps—a 1965 and a 1966—that have, in the past, both been serviced extensively by Alexander "Howard" Dumble.

In an email from Dumble to Ford, Dumble says: "Even though the Super Reverb's were kept within the stock Fender spec, it doesn't diminish the amount of effort that was made on these amplifiers. To get these amplifiers to perform at the present level, literally took months of time to be spent on these amplifier chassis. ... The diagnostics, and the engineering of technical solutions were extensive."

In addition to the Super Reverbs, there's a wide range of Ford's gear available—from an SM57 to a Fulltone OCD RF-1 to a Dumble Dumbleator Tube-Buffered Effects Loop.

Another rare find in Ford's collection is a Sakashta Smoky Signal Tubeless Overdrive. Built by the late Taku Sakashta for Robben Ford—with the inside of the chassis signed and dated "'08 Jan 14" by Sakashta—this is an excellent, personalized example of the highly prized pedal.

Correction: A previous version of this article stated that the Fender Super Reverbs were modified by Dumble. While both amps were serviced by Dumble, they were not modified.
