Epiphone Releases 150th Anniversary Models

This year, Epiphone is celebrating a monumental anniversary—150 years in the business of crafting beautiful instruments. In honor of the milestone, Epiphone has released a selection of four 150th Anniversary models, reissued from the brand's golden-era.

The models getting the 150th anniversary treatment include the Wilshire, Crestwood Custom, Sheraton, and Zephyr DeLuxe Regent. The models are limited edition and available now, priced at $899 and $999, respectively, with the last two each costing $1,299.

150th Anniversary Wilshire
150th Anniversary Crestwood Custom

The Wilshire was originally brought to market in 1959 and has been one of Epiphone's most successful original solidbody guitars to date. The Anniversary edition features a double-cutaway mahogany body finished in a calming Pacific Blue married to a mahogany neck with a '60s Slim Taper D profile and an Indian laurel fretboard.

The Crestwood Custom is an even earlier model, debuted in '58 with the switch to its current name happening a year later in '59. It was Epiphone's first original two-pickup solidbody design. The Anniversary model is finished in California Coral yellow and features a lot of the same specs as the Wilshire with the addition of an Epiphone Tremotone vibrato tailpiece.

The 150th Anniversary Sheraton is the semi-hollowbody model on offer, featuring layered maple body material with a maple centerblock for feedback resistance. It features a one-piece mahogany neck that, like the other models already mention, has an Indian laurel fretboard. This model features a special bound headstock with the historic Epiphone logo and Tree of Life inlaid in mother of pearl.

150th Anniversary Zephyr DeLuxe Regent

Last but certainly not least, the 150th Anniversary Zephyr DeLuxe Regent is a fully hollowbody guitar that was originally produced between 1948 and 1957, when it was one of Gibson's biggest competitors. Made for jazz, blues, rockabilly, and more, this Anniversary model recreates all of the important features of the vintage originals with some timely upgrades for modern players.
