Focusrite Announces USB Versions of Clarett Interface Series

Since their introduction in 2015, Focusrite’s Clarett series of audio interfaces have been popular among home and project studio recordists for their low latency, clarity, and reasonable price. However, because the Clarett line relied on Thunderbolt connections, it was only available to Apple users.

Today, Focusrite announces USB versions of the Clarett 2-, 4-, and 8-preamp versions, which offer the same functionality as the originals for any computer with a USB 2.0 port or higher.

This effectively makes the Clarett series the next level to Focusrite’s incredibly successful Scarlett interfaces. The Clarett models offer a larger dynamic range and Focusrite's coveted "air" effect, which emulates the charming high-frequency presence of the transformers found in the company's original Neve-designed ISA preamps.
