Overview
Along with its Rosewood counterpart, the D-28, the Martin D-18 stands as one of the true original dreadnoughts introduced by Martin in 1932. In 1985, Martin produced a limited run of 56 D-18s with pre-war appointments. This guitar was produced again in 1985 and 1992 as additional limited runs, and evolved into a regular production model in 1996 as the D-18V.
