Overview
The Neumann U 67 is among the most desirable vintage microphones, and rightfully so. This multi-pattern tube condenser is as versatile as they come -- a staple on vocals, drums, and all acoustic instruments thanks to its warm tone with an inviting "air" in the high frequency range. Released in 1960 as the replacement to the U 47, the U 67 used a more readily available tube and a brand new capsule, amplifier, and headbasket design. The K67 capsule at the heart of the U 67 still stands as the benchmark in microphone design, and is the capsule most commonly "cloned" by modern mic manufacturers. Have a look at the listings below for Reverb's awesome selection of vintage U 67 tube mics.
