Moog's Brother From Another Mother? | Fess' Find

As it turns out, there's a forgotten sibling in Moog's matriarchal family tree: the Brother From Another Mother, or BFAM for short. It's a semi-modular synth that was only available as a workshop for VIP ticket holders at Moogfest 2016. Only 100 were produced, and this listing is one of them.

According to the Moog engineers, it was an early prototype for the Mother-32 synthesizer and was never planned to be available commercially. The BFAM—not to be confused with DFAM—is a single oscillator synth with an 8-step analog sequencer and the Moog's signature resonant low-pass 24 dB/Oct ladder Filter. The sequencer can be routed to pitch, filter cutoff, or other destinations via the 16 patch points, and like the other semi-modular Moogs, the BFAM can be removed from its housing and mounted into Eurorack cases.

Though the BFAM is not as developed as the Mother-32 and DFAM, traces of both machines can be found in it, making it a great addition to use with any other Moog semi-modular units, Eurorack, or simply on its own. This listing is sure not to last long, and the seller is open to offers, so make an offer now on this piece of Moog history.
