Introducing: Martin Custom M/0000 Satin Black, the First "Reverb Select" Martin

Say you design guitars for a storied guitar brand, one that's nearing its 200th anniversary and whose classic models set the template for what we know as acoustic guitars. How do you create something new, something that excites, something unlike anything you've done before?

With the Reverb Select series of Martin acoustic guitars, we're letting Martin VP of Product Management Fred Greene run wild with his ideas, mixing traditional features, rare woods, and bold finishes to offer new tones and thrills. Each model will be available in extremely limited quantities, and only on Reverb.

The Martin Reverb Select Custom M/0000 Satin Black

The idea for the first Reverb Select Martin came to Greene during a late-night viewing of Alfred Hitchcock's Dial M for Murder. "We have an 'M' body style," he thought, "And nobody doesn't look good with a black guitar."

The result is the Martin Reverb Select Custom M/0000 Satin Black, which features a unique mix of traditional appointments—like ebony parts, a large M body with mahogany back and sides, and a slim 0000 depth—all decked out in black.

To Greene, it's "a vision of a rock 'n' roll guitar" that will cut a striking silhouette under any spotlight. And it's just the first in a series of unique builds that Greene and Martin have planned under the Reverb Select banner.

Watch the video to get the full story and to hear what it can do in the hands of Trey Hensley, the great guitar-picking recording artist and session ace.

Then, be sure to visit and save Martin's official Reverb shop so you don't miss all the great limited-edition models we have planned.
